Visiting Blauvelt and Clausland Mountain state parks

Dear verticals, it's time to do something new! This time we hike Blauvelt and Clausland Mountain state parks.

We will pass through rivers, waterfall, creeks and visit an old tunnel.

We will have lunch by the mountain top and visit Pierson Park on a way back.

This is a loop walk!

7:20 AM - Meeting at center of Grand Central Terminal (look for a round information kiosk)

7:50 AM - Departure from Grand Central to Breakneck Ridge train station

8:29 AM - Arriving at Tarrytown

8:34 AM - Taking H07 Bus to Central Nyack

09:45 AM - Meeting rest of the group in front of entrance to Shell gas station

11:00 AM - Visiting Buttermilk Falls

12:00 PM - Arriving to Tweed Tunnels

12:30 PM - Lunch at mountain top

1:00 PM - Continuing hiking

1:30 PM - Reaching Tackamac North Park

2:20 PM - Arriving Mount Nebo

4:10 PM - Returning to Central Nyack

4:34 PM - Taking H07 Bus back to Tarrytown

5:00 PM - Visiting the Pierson Park

6:04 PM - Departure from Tarrytown

6:55 PM - Arriving to Grand Central station

**** HOW TO GET THERE and BACK ***

Hudson lane:

Way to: Grand Central to Tarrytown (look for a 7:50 AM train)

Way back: Tarrytown to Grand Central (look for 6:04 PM train)

By car: ask a group if someone is driving and can give you a ride.

*** USEFUL INFO ***

About 12 miles hike (expect for full day).

Total elevation: 1400ft.

Please don't come late as the train will NOT wait for you.

Walkie-talkie: our frequency: 462.6125 or 462.6375 (Channel 3 and 4)

Please bring enough water and food for 6 hours.

We do not recommend you to swim at lakes and rivers.

We suggest getting train tickets in advance at Grand Central station or through the MTA app.
