Variant 6's 2022-23 Season

This season, Variant 6 celebrates the power of virtuosic voices in three distinct programs in Philadelphia, Princeton, and NYC.

Variant 6 and Filament join forces to explore the myriad ways French composers wrote sacred music at the turn of the 18th Century. Our program, Virtue and Vice includes the moving and meditative Litanies de la Vierge, a dramatic telling of the martyrdom of St. Cecilia by Marc-Antoine Charpentier, and a selection of New World motets that were collected and performed in an Ursuline abbey in 18th-century New Orleans. COVID-19 POLICY: Variant 6 and Filament reserve the right to ask for proof of vaccination and to require all audience members to be masked for the duration of the concert, in accordance with local city and state guidelines.
