About this Event

Family Connection Inc.’s Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention Team (ADAPT) Coalition is a group of people who care about and work together on different substance abuse prevention initiatives throughout Essex County. One of ADAPT’s initiatives is the Wellness Initiative for Senior Education (WISE) Program, a curriculum-based health promotion program that aims to help older adults increase their knowledge and awareness of issues related to health and the aging process, including prescription medication misuse and abuse.

Lesson 2: Aging Sensitivity

Lesson 3: Valuing Cultural and Generational Diversity

Lesson 4: Medication and the Older Adult

Lesson 5: Substance Abuse, Addiction, and Older Adults

Lesson 6: An Enhanced Quality of Life
