About this event

Join in for an online screening of The Penobscot: Ancestral River, Contested Territory, a powerful film by Sunlight Media Collective. This documentary traces the history of tribal-state relations in Maine, the Penobscot Nation’s deep-rooted environmental stewardship, and the ongoing legal battle to protect their sustenance fishing rights. It tells the story of the struggle for justice and cultural survival in the face of an astonishingly open abuse of state power.

A discussion will follow the film.

A Note about our Sliding Scale System:

This sliding scale model allows participants to choose a price to pay that meets their needs. We have a full tier, sliding scale based system which allows for applicants to self identity and choose the tier they feel is most accurate to them. note: please use the above table as a suggestion for choosing your ticket option.

At this time we are able to offer limited funds for those that need financial coverage. Please check YES in the checkout questions if you are interested in requesting a stipend for time, or child/elder care coverage.
