4 classes of Sumi-e (each 2 hours long). Advance at your own pace—you do not need to know how to paint with ink, all levels are welcome, if you need course materials a full sumi-e kit is available here.

Time: Sundays 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM

Dates: every Sunday in June; 6/7, 6/14, 6/21, and 6/28.

The emphasis is on the process! The Class will be introduced to the “Four Treasures” (The ink stick, the ink stone, brush and paper) and each class will begin with a demonstration then guided instruction. Check out the YouTube videos for how to paint “The Four Gentlemen” (The lessons introduce the student to the four basic strokes groups).

*While the Center is as prepared as it can be for such a moment, we will also be struggling with the shutdown order like so many other people, organizations, and businesses.
