April's Theme is : Enviornmental Justice | Earth Month

Education is the tool that has been weaponized against Black and Brown communities and we have witnessed the continued disrespect these systems have tried to do to silence our voices, erase our cultures, undermine our contributions, and disrespect our bodies. Collectively we have thought through the expansiveness of education and are working to build an Anti-racist S.T.E.A.M. Freedom Cooperative to meet the diverse needs of our STEAMERS!

We believe that education is a powerful tool for empowerment and change, and we are excited to embark on this journey with you. Let's come together to celebrate diversity, ignite curiosity, and pave the way for a brighter future.

What to Expect:

🕒 Collective Energy: We will decide each month what book and topic we will dive into. We encourage the voices of our young folks and want them in the forefront.

🔬 Interactive Workshops: Engaging hands-on activities for all ages, fostering a love for learning and exploration.

🎤 Guest Speakers: Hear from inspiring individuals who have made significant contributions in the world of S.T.E.A.M or Parents who have experiences unschooling. Gain insights, ask questions, and be motivated by their stories.

🌍 Community Connection: Connect with like-minded families, build a network of support, and celebrate the rich diversity within our BIPOC community.
