The West Virginia SPF PFS, SPF Rx and Collegiate PFS projects are hosting a training series on prevention practice

About this event

Sessions will be of interest to prevention and public health professionals, community coalition staff and members, schools, higher education and community members and organizations serving youth and families.

The series is funded by the Partnerships for Success and SPF Rx grants from the West Virginia Department of Health & Human Resources Bureau for Behavioral Health, and by Marshall University's Collegiate Partnerships for Success project with funds from the federal Department of Health & Human Services Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMSHA).

Registration is free. Summer sessions include the following.

Listening to WV Youth by Dr. Marianna Linz, Dr. Sarah Surber, Dr. Tammy Collins, Amy Saunders and Nikki Tennis -May 10th 10 to 11:30 am

Understanding Appalachian Culture for Effective Prevention by Heather McDonnell Stalnaker -June 7th 4:30-6:00 pm

A Data-Driven Youth-Led Prevention Message: One Choice for Health by Dr. Caroline Dupont and Corrine Shea -August 2nd 10 to11:30 am
