School of Visual Arts Continuing Education

In celebration of the 2021 Contemporary Practices summer residency program, SVA will host a virtual open studios event.

This event will feature individual studio visits with the 11 residency participants via Zoom. Viewers will be invited to ask questions and participate in an open dialogue with the artists. <a href="https://sva.edu/academics/artist-residency-programs/studio-residencies/fine-arts-contemporary-practices" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Contemporary Practices</a> is an intensive studio residency that has been designed for artists working in both medium-specific and cross-platform modes of production that aims for the intersection of art and ideas. Taught by distinguished members of the MFA Fine Arts faculty, the residency fosters a culture of rigorous practice and contemporary thought.
