If you work for an association, join us for a networking meetup. It’s networking that’s natural, not awkward.Want to get new ideas for your organization? Looking for a job? Have some best practices to share? Just want to actually meet some new people in your field?We’ll be using a number of online engagement techniques that you can adapt, copy and steal for your own events. (This is a real networking event; if you’re looking for a more <a href="https://www.eventbrite.com/e/how-to-implement-successful-networking-in-your-online-events-conferences-tickets-113775317036" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">educational workshop about how to implement online networking</a>, you can also join us for that session.)This isn’t about just exchanging business cards. It&#x27;s designed to really get people to engage and find real value in connecting. You’ll meet 4-8 other great association pros. And even introverts will tell you the format is great.🍜 🥛 Feel free to eat and drink during the event.What this is NOT:<ul><li>No sales pitches.</li><li>No elevator speeches. </li></ul>NotesWant to get comfortable using Zoom before the workshop? Show up 15 minutes before the official start for a quick familiarization on how to turn your audio and video on/off, use chat, change your name, and switch views. As this is an interactive session and not just a presentation, spots are limited. Attendance is limited to 80% association staff; 20% to vendors/consultants; sign up as appropriate. We reserve the right to remove attendees.Who should attend?Association pros. This will be a diversity of association professionals – membership, meetings, finance, management, etc. – with a range of experience levels. Most attendees are from the US and many are from the Washington, DC area, but it&#x27;s open to all association pros. Tech requirementsYou'll need a computer with a camera and a microphone. This networking event follows a logical agenda to help attendees network better and more naturally. This will NOT happen instantaneously when you register with Eventbrite.About your online meeting facilitatorLee Gimpel is the founder of <a href="https://bettermeetings.expert" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Better Meetings, which provides in-person and online meeting facilitation, training, and design services</a>. Formerly, as Director of Development for LifeWise Strategies, he spent a decade overseeing the training/education company’s products that helped organizations design and facilitate better programs, more authentic client connections, and dynamic classes. He’s worked with organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, United Way, and the USMC. Previously, he worked at Capital One and started his career as a software manager on the tech conference circuit.
