This 60-minute discussion will highlight best practices for VILT, eLearning and blended learning solutions. We will cover important "dos" and "don'ts" as well as "tips" and "tricks".Learning requires effort on the part of the learner no matter what the mode of learning. That said, the key to encouraging the "effort" is by engaging with the learner. The expectation for most eLearning solutions should be to gain a base level of knowledge with complex or advanced skills being learned in synchronous instructor led sessions.Effective eLearning should be interactive to engage the learner. Bob Wieczorek, CFABob brings over 30 years of banking and then training experience. Bob is known as a thought leader in the adult learning enterprise education space. After working in lending roles for midcap and large-cap clients, he moved into investment banking both in financial markets and then Corporate Finance and therefore brings a unique ability to understand capital raising at any stage of the clients’ lifecycles from the corporate and investment banking, and financial markets perspectives. Having worked at different training companies and Launching TCC, he is a sought after luminary in the enterprise education space.Bob began his career at Chase (now part of J.P. Morgan) where he went through both their analyst and associate training programs (including their renowned credit training). After gaining experience working with middle-market companies in the Tri-State region, Bob moved to WestLB to work with larger corporations up and down the East Coast of the U.S. With his strong credit background, he decided to transition into the capital markets side of the business by joining Credit Research and Trading (a boutique firm focused on distressed debt) where he was on the private (bank debt) trading desk. He then joined Credit Lyonnais (now part of Credit Agricole) to manage a portfolio of distressed debt and reorganized equities before transitioning to its Corporate Finance Group (its investment banking arm). Over time, he ended up running Credit Lyonnais’ investment banking business in North America. In 2003, Bob launched a hedge fund using proprietary derivative trading strategies drawing from both his deep value credit experience and that of working with a large derivative platform at Credit Lyonnais Securities.Bob’s teaching career spans over 15+ years including 7city/Fitch Learning where he held several positions of increasing responsibility, including Managing Director, Head of Americas and Global Head of Asset Management and Capital Markets Training. He also started the capital markets training practice at Training the Street “TTS”.Bob has a B.S., in Finance from Tulane University (A.B. Freeman School of Business). He is a member of the CFA Institute.
