About this event
This fascinating book will be the topic of our discussions. The team at Winding Brook Farms - mushrooms & more is excited to teach folks about "all things fungi." Shannon or Teresa will guide you through each chapter as you share your favorite take-aways. This book introduces the reader to how amazing fungi are to the plant and your health. Each month, ONE chapter will be covered so we all have time to read! We have two times to choose from "Lunch & Learn" from 11:00 - 11:30 am (EST) OR "Dinner & Discover" from 7:00 - 7:30 pm (EST). Meeting times, on the day of the class, are flexible. If you cannot join us for the "Lunch and Learn" join us for "Dinner and Discover." Either is fine! You only need to sign up ONCE and make a small donation of ten to fifteen dollars to join in. Once on our roster, we will send you the links each month.

Yes. If you are reading as family, friends or co-workers you can certainly share between yourselves. The book is reasonably priced at under $20. There is also a Kindle version.
All club meetings will be held on ZOOM. Chapter 1, June 26 -- Chapter 2, July 24 -- Chapter 3, August 28 -- Chapter 5, September 25(note these are out of order) and Chapter 4, October 23.
Yes. We ask that you make a ONE TIME donation of between $10-15 to cover all of the book club meetings (be aware that Eventbrite charges a small fee for us to use their platform). If you have more than three people participating on one device it would be kind to increase your donation.
You only need to sign up and make a donation ONCE. When we have your registration we will continue to send the links to you once a month until the end of the book club sessions.
The week of the book club session, on Monday, you will be emailed a one time ZOOM link for that months meeting.
"LIFE HAPPENS!" So please call or text the host to let them know. Try to be on time (or a little early as sometimes there can be log-in issues). We will stick to the schedule to respect everyone's time commitments.
Once you have signed up, by your request only, we will send you an email with venmo link or address.
We suggest taking notes as you read each chapter. Each chapter will inspire curiosity so questions will happen spontaneously. We ask that the questions stick to the topic as fungi conversations can often veer off into "rabbit/black holes." Personal questions are best addressed at a later date.
