The Economic & Community Development Institute is a Columbus, Ohio-based 501(c)(3) non-profit economic development organization founded in 2004. As the third largest US SBA intermediary micro-lender and a U.S. Treasury designated Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), ECDI's mission is to invest in people to create measurable and enduring social and economic change. Since 2004, ECDI has assisted over 13,000 individuals, disbursed over $43 million through over 2,000 loans, and created and retained over7,400jobs via our comprehensive suite of programs available through our offices in Columbus, Cleveland, Akron, Toledo, and most recently Cincinnati, Ohio. Our programs and services have been supported by over $69 million in federal, state, local and private funds, and have proven to spur local economic development. How do we do this? We invest, educate, and innovate with the businesses and people who are inspired and who inspire us.

This session offers a brief overview of all the programs and resources the Economic Community Development Institute (ECDI) offers. The information session will explain :<ul><li>Who we are and our mission</li><li>Loans we offer, who is eligible and the process involved</li><li>Training opportunities</li><li>Women's Business Centers of Ohio</li><li>Innovative ECDI programs: Capital for Construction, Food Fort and the Social Enterprise Hub</li></ul>This session is required for all prospective ECDI clients.

Since 2004, ECDI has assisted Ohio’s entrepreneurs through their one-stop-shop business services model, suited to meet the needs of all entrepreneurs, regardless of what business stage they’re in. From providing capital to entrepreneurs looking to expand their businesses, to providing focused, business-specific educational opportunities to enhance entrepreneurial skill sets, ECDI works with their clients to meet their specific needs. Whether you merely have a business idea or are opening up your fifth location, ECDI’s “never say no” approach has allowed more than 15,000 entrepreneurs to take advantage of the services we provide.
