Every year, we look forward to connecting with the global cold spray community at CSAT. But after much deliberation and evaluation of the situation today and outlook for the coming months, we have decided to hold CSAT 2020 virtually, instead of meeting at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) due to COVID-19.
This was a difficult decision to make – CSAT is the largest gathering of the cold spray community in the world and I look forward to seeing all of you every year – but we need to prioritize the health and safety of our attendees and those hosting the event. Additionally, most of us have severe travel restrictions at this time that would prevent us from attending and the future is still uncertain.
In place of the in-person CSAT event, we are planning an online, half-day webinar to engage the community in technical discussions. This event will be free to all attendees and will be held June 23, which was one of the two days originally scheduled for CSAT 2020. There will be presentations and panel discussions from three key groups:
