Virtual CASA Informational Session

Henrico CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) is a nonprofit organization that trains volunteers who advocate for abused and neglected children during their court involvement. CASA volunteers spend many hours with these children, their families, and others who interact with the children. The advocates then provide judges with independent information on which to base decisions. Spending time with the children allows CASAs to monitor their cases while they are under the Court’s protection and ensure that they ultimately are in safe homes where they can thrive. This past year, Henrico CASA served 385 children through the efforts of over 100 trained volunteers.

Would you like to make a major impact in the life of a child who needs a chance for safety and stability at home? Children who have experienced abuse or neglect face a frightening, profound unknown. Courtrooms. Foster Care. New schools. Luckily, trained volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) make all the difference for a child who has experienced abuse or neglect in our community.We need YOU to be a voice for an abused or neglected child in Henrico County. Join us for an hour-long informational session to learn more about the role and responsibilities of a CASA volunteer, and how to become one. There will be time to interact with our staff and a veteran CASA who will answer your questions about what to expect in this unique and rewarding volunteer role.By lending your voice you can change a child’s story. Join us on this journey.
