Join us June 6-10, 2020 for this VIRTUAL engineering summer camp for high school students, hosted by the University of Kentucky College of Engineering and Newton's Attic.

Ever wish you could live in the glory days of video games? Back when games like Pacman, Asteroids, or Super Mario Bros were the peak of gaming entertainment. In the Retro Arcade class, we will use technology to create a piece of this nostalgia for your very own.

Using Raspberry Pi microcomputers, we will construct a miniature gaming console that can play all of your favorite vintage games. Through the process of building this console, we will learn about how to use the Raspberry Pi, how it’s possible to use it to play these games, and even dive a little bit into the history of the games themselves.

This class is an essential for budding engineers, game enthusiasts, or anyone with a taste for some hands-on fun.

This VIRTUAL summer experience will run from July 6-10, 2020. The program will take place online, via Zoom, from 9:00 AM EST to 12:30 PM EST Monday, July 6 - Friday, July 10. Students must have access to a computer with internet access (and, video capability preferred).
