The District is home to 200 apprenticeship programs that offer entry into high-demand careers. Join one of our Info Sessions to learn more!

Whether you are a recent high school graduate or are looking to switch careers, a Registered Apprenticeship program may be just what you need. You&#x27;ll earn a wage that increases with your experience and work for an employer who is committed to your success, all while incurring no college or training debt. Did you know: <ul><li>The average wage for an apprentice is $15.00 per hour nationally. </li><li>91% of apprentices who complete an apprenticeship are still employed nine months later. </li><li>On average, Registered Apprentices earn nearly 2.5 times their counterparts within nine years and about $300,000 more over the course of their career. </li></ul>Apprenticeship combines on-the-job training with a steady paycheck, making it an ideal solution for many District residents, including those with disabilities. The District is home to apprenticeship programs in a wide-range of industries, including traditional fields, like construction, and; high-growth, non-traditional fields such as health care and information technology. The first step in your apprenticeship journey begins with attending one of our Virtual Information Sessions. During the Virtual Information Session, prospective apprentices will learn more about DC&#x27;s apprenticeship system, available industries/occupations, eligibility requirements, pre-apprenticeship, and how to apply for available opportunities. Our Virtual Information Sessions are offered twice a week on Tuesdays at 2:30p and Thursday at 10a. To attend an upcoming session, please register through our Eventbrite page to get connected!
