About this event

  • 8 hours

Lines for Life is proud to offer virtual Adult Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training to Oregon communities at reduced cost.

This course is divided into two parts: a 2-hour, self-paced online course to be completed before training, and a 7.5-hour, instructor-led training session.

One in five Americans has a mental illness, but many are reluctant to seek help or don't know where to turn for care. The COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated existing mental health and substance use issues. Equipped with the right skills and knowledge, you could help a loved one or community member in need.

Mental Health First Aid dispels common myths about mental illnesses and prepares participants to interact with a person experiencing a mental health crisis. Mental Health First Aiders learn a 5-step Action Plan that guides them through the process of reaching out and offering appropriate support.

Please Note: Refunds will be accepted up to 24-hours prior to the training for up to $46.26, to account for service and processing fees. Any refund request submitted after the 24-hour deadline will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
