Vessels is an event featuring work from Olivia Emert. The event features a new movement work featuring local dance artists: Troy Gardner, Anna Boehm, and Tessa McNeil. The work will be followed by an artist talk back. The night centers around mental health awareness and bringing intention to the conversations we have with our bodies. We are not our bodies. We are more than what we define ourselves as. Everyone has a unique relationship with their body, how they converse and perceive it. How can we sit with our body as a vessel and try to release ourselves from the social implications and outside and internal critiques of our bodies. release so we can focus on nurturing our souls and be intentional in the ability to be a vessel of energy and learning.
