About this event

  • Event lasts 30 minutes

Version Control is the way to track revisions of a document, dataset, or process. This workshop will present options available to track and recover changes to different types of files, and provide hands-on experience to version control using Git.

After this workshop, attendees will be able to identify the best type of version control for files in their project; and, using Git, create a repository, make and track versions of the files, and use GitHub to remotely store the repository. This asynchronous, online workshop will take place via Canvas.

You can progress at your own pace, ask questions as needed, and if you complete the work by the end of the quarter you will receive a certificate of completion.
