Vegetable Field Day at Whitehurst Farm

Come join the Texas Center for Local Food for a day of learning at Whitehurst Farm! Our Vegetable Field Day will showcase owner Michael Marchand, a diversified, organic vegetable farmer selling into direct and wholesale markets in the Houston area. Michael will walk you through his farm, sharing why he started focusing on vegetable production and the economic viability of small-scale vegetable farming in Texas.
This is a casual outdoor event meant to spark conversation and create new connections for vegetable producers in Eastern Texas. All experience levels are welcome. Because space is limited, please only register if you're confident you can make it out! This helps our planning and ensures everyone who wants to be there has a spot.
We'll have water, coffee, and small snacks to share. Please bring a water bottle, a lawn chair if you have one, and make sure to dress appropriately for the weather. See you there!
