This training is for Virginia Criminal Justice purposes only. Attendees will have passed a fingerprint/background with their agency prior to attending this training.

Please be advised that a strict dress code must be followed when attending any function or class (to include ALL VCIN courses) at the State Police Training Academy. Accepted attire is business casual and our policy prohibits the wearing of jeans, T-shirts, shirts without collars, shorts, sweatshirts, sweatpants, and tennis shoes.

Any person attending the State Police Academy and not following to the dress code will be asked to leave.

If you plan to attend a class at the State Police Academy, you will need to click the green register button to sign up.

Seating is limited to 40. We ask you register only once - duplicate entries will be deleted.

Please note: Lunch will not be provided to students at are not personnel from VSP. Class will take scheduled breaks for lunch and there are several restaurants that are nearby the academy.

FAQs

Are there ID or requirements to enter the event?

Yes. Any item marked with an astrisk ( * ) is a required field.

I'm trying to sign up - but I don't know my ORI (Orginiating Agency Indentifier) and it's a required field. How do I find this?

There are several options to help you to find this:

• Your VCIN Terminal Agency Coordinator (TAC)
• Your supervisor or training leader
• Referring to your VCIN Training Manual under SYSTEM, VCIN Terminal Network Addresses
  

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

What can I bring into the event?

A note pad for notes, but handouts will be given so you can take notes on them. A pen or pencil for writing, and a highlighter is highly recommended, but not perferred.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Yes. When arriving, Senior Trooper Altizer will take your printed ticket for the roster sign-in. Your ticket reserves your spot in class.

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?

NO. Seating is limited, and transferrable tickets will not be honored. Your name must correspond with the ticket for entry into class.

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

NO. If your name does not correspond with the ticket, you will be asked to leave.

What if I'm ten to twenty minutes late to class?

We ask that all students arrive early for class. If you are late, for any reason - you will not be premitted in.

Why are social media icons on the registration page? Can I use it?

This application has social media set as a default - but we WILL NOT be using this feature. Bear in mind that this training is for criminal justice purposes only, and we ask that you do not share it to your social media.
