About this event

Variety the Children’s Charity is pleased to announce the Variety Mental Health Luncheon to be held on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at Pine Lake Country Club (3300 Pine Lake Road, West Bloomfield). We look forward to this special afternoon to benefit our newest core program—Variety Being You Being Strong—which provides mental health awareness support for children in elementary school.

We are thrilled to welcome our featured speaker and special guest, Ginger Zee, Chief Meteorologist ABC News and best-selling author and mental health awareness advocate. The afternoon, with Master of Ceremonies Glenda Lewis of WXYZ News, will feature a lovely lunch, special presentation, Q&A session and book signing opportunity. Ginger Zee will share her journey of self-discovery as it relates to her life experiences in a personal, heartfelt, and humorous way—while helping to normalize issues and challenges that millions of people face every day.

The luncheon co-chairs are David King, Kelly Shuert, and Connie Skandalaris.
