Vans is partnering with City Surf Project to bring a youth surf camp to the Vans US Open of surfing! Join us on August 3rd or 4th for a morning surf session led by City Surf Project. This camp is for kids between 8-16 years old and will cater to various skill levels. Public sessions will run from 9-11 am. Please check in for the camp at the Vans Camp Surf tent by Tower 5 on the south side of the Huntington Beach Pier before 9 am. Make sure to pre-register via Eventbrite as no on-site registration will be available. Wetsuits will be available for use, but it is recommended that kids bring their own if they have them.Following the surf session, Acai bowls will be provided by Sambazon. Each kid will also receive a unique Vans Surf Camp T-Shirt to take home.FAQ:I have signed up. What do I do now?Keep an eye on your inbox, an email will be sent out with details for where and when to check-in upon arrival on the sand.How long is the camp?Please arrive for check-in around 8:30am to ensure we can start promptly at 9am. The camp will end by 11am.What equipment do I need to participate?All equipment (boards, wetsuits, boogie boards) will be provided. It is recommended that kids bring their own wetsuit if they have them.What age range and skill levels is this camp for?This camp is for kids between 8-16 years old and will cater to various skill levels.Where should we meet for check-in?Meet at the Vans Surf Camp tents near tower 5 on the south side of the Huntington Beach Pier before 9am.What safety precautions will be in place for the camp?All participants will be required to sign a liability waiver upon check-in. Please make sure a parent or guardian accompanies all kids at check-in to sign. Lifeguards and experienced coaching staff will be on-site and in the water to ensure everyone’s safety.Can I register day of/ onsite?No onsite or day of registration will be available. All participants will need to be registered by 5pm PST on August 1st.
