As an experienced health coach, you are aware of how vital follow-up sessions are to the coaching process. These sessions are a coach's opportunity to cultivate and deepen change talk, as well as walk with the client towards sustainable behavior change as they iterate action steps. The health coaching process may have only a few or many follow-up sessions over the course of the coaching relationship- either way they are vital to the process.

The Vanderbilt Health Coaching Program (VHCP) has developed a reliable and evidence-based follow-up structure to lean into whether you’re a new or seasoned coach. This structure allows for the continued “topping up” of a client's motivation, deeper listening, and a roadmap for the coach to scaffold foundational and advanced skills and strategies.

It is values-driven and rooted in honoring client autonomy. Over time, the client may pick up on the pieces of the session and use it independently to foster even greater behavioral impact. We believe the follow-up session structure is a transformational tool for every coach.

The cost for this course is $179.

This CE course is approved by NBHWC for 3 continuing education units.

Format: Hybrid-asynchronous learning with 1 online group call (2 calls offered in 2024)
