Van Hayride was originally conceived in the early 21st century as a countrified Van Halen, David Lee Roth era only, organization.The band played around the NYC roots music scene and even toured with Norah Jones's Puss 'N Boots.David Lee Roth was working as an EMT in NYC when Van Hayride began, and not singing in Van Halen.David sent word to the Hayride people that he had heard good things about the band and was planning to check them out.A few months later, communications ceased and David Lee Roth suddenly released the bizarre, "Strummin' With The Devil" (Country versions of Van Halen songs by David Lee Roth) ... coincidence?So, we are pretty sure David Lee Roth copied Van Hayride, copying him and for the record; we are proud to be of service.
