About this event

40 hour class - ASCEND Level 2 is designed to equip licensed UAS pilots with the principles of industrial inspections using UAS including operating in the right of way safely, proper safety precautions and PPE, UAS Maintenance, Crew Duties, Team communications, Establishing flight operations, etc. Training consists of 8hrs of classroom material and 32hrs of flight training using industrial class UAS.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to provide my own drone or PPE equipment?

No - Students will use drones provided by Valmont and be provided with a high viz vest and hard hat.

Are there any pre-requisites?

Yes - students must have their FAA Part 107 sUAS Pilots License and provide a copy of the license prior to attending the session. We also strongly recommend that you are confident in your flying abilities prior to attending.
