Valentine's Day Patching Workshop

Valentine's Day Patching Workshop

2004 1st AveSeattle, WA
Saturday, Feb 14 from 1 pm to 3 pm PST
Overview

Bring garments or textiles that you'd like to mend or embellish with patches at our patching workshop.

Join us for a Valentine's Day Patching Workshop!

Bring a garment, textile, bag, or any other fabric item that you'd like to embellish with a heart shaped patch.

Jeni and Sherry will provide mini-lessons showing two different methods of sewing on your patch.

Sherry will demo how to hand sew a patch using the traditional Japanese sashiko method, Jeni will demo a machine sewing method with zigzag stitch, and then you’ll have time and work space to practice.

Come learn a new skill and take home a newly revived piece. It’s a great way to show your love for sustainability and perhaps you’ll leave with a heart on your sleeve!?

Saturday, Feb. 14

1:00 – 3:00 pm

We will provide:

- heart shaped patches in a variety of sizes and fabrics

- scrap fabric and paper templates to cut your own patches

- scissors

- thread

- needles/pins
