The Uppsala University US Alumni Chapter is the U.S. division of the University's Alumni Network. Started in 2012, the group aims to maintain and foster a strong relationship between the University and its alumni in the United States. Alumni and friends of the University are welcome to join our events in New York, Minneapolis and San Francisco Bay area.

The Uppsala University U.S. Alumni Chapter proudly invites you to our annual Valborg Gasque!
Valborg is one of Uppsala’s greatest traditions and Uppsala’s gasques (student dinner parties) are known to be the best ones in the whole Kingdom of Sweden. Expect an evening you will not forget, with friends, food, drinks, entertainment and singing lots of snapsvisor!
Come to reminiscence about the old student days, the memories and all the traditions that makes us proud to be Uppsala Alumni! If you have never attended a gasque before, it is about time to cross it off your bucket list! Everyone is welcome to this event, alumni as well as non-alumni, so feel free to bring a friend that wants to experience the Swedish culture and the Uppsala student life!
The ticket price includes initial cocktail hour with appetizers followed by a three course dinner and open bar throughout the evening. And of course, traditional Swedish Aquavit will be served. 
 We especially want to thank American Friends of Uppsala University, AFUU, for generously sponsoring this event, enabling us to keep the ticket price low. AFUU and The Uppsala University U.S. Alumni Chapter are dependent on donations to fund the Alumni Chapters, Scholarships and other charitable causes. We therefore encourage you to make a donation to the Scholarship Fund, enabling an American student to study in Sweden.
