About this event

  • 45 minutes

• Vagus nerve toning for mental health and chronic illness or pain

• Bodyweight (mat) strength and resistance exercise with autoimmune sensitivity

• Joint-freeing exercise and dance

• Fascial stretching and lymphatic self-massage with cold therapy

• Calming the nervous system through slow movement and yoga therapy

• Creating a trauma-informed space by listening to emotionality stored in the joints and tissues

• Using breathwork, vocalization, sound healing, and meditation to inform practice

• Using a social justice framework for inclusivity and collective healing

**PREP: 1)Please be set up in a comfortable space on your yoga mat or cushion 2)Please have a bowl of ice water, washcloth, and optional essential oil for self-massage :)

Doing these exercises in community enhances vagal toning even more, as socialization is important feedback for this nerve. Hope to see you monthly in our online community, and you can continue what we learn in practice on your own throughout the month!
