On June 6th we will be having a joint event with Hacklebarney Trout Unlimited at the Pequest Trout Hatchery , 605 Pequest Rd, Oxford, NJ 07863.

We will have contactless registration, please fill out the waivers online before coming to the event. Links are below and in confirmation email, this only needs to be done for your first event of 2024.

This event will be for the patients from the Hospice/Long Term Care groups with many of them fishing from wheelchairs. These groups will need more one on one assistance than the ambulatory patients. Most of the participants will be fishing from shore.

Our Mid-week events start a little later and usually are shorter in duration than our regular weekend events.

Volunteers need to arrive by 8:30 am. We are usually wrapped up before 4pm.

Volunteers should arrive by 8:30 AM for set up.

SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT FOOD: Breakfast bagels, donuts coffee and lunch will be provided. Water and Gatorade will be available for volunteers and participants.

Weather Considerations: Events are rain or shine, dress appropriately for the weather. You will be notified if the event is cancelled for any reason.

You may get wet during the outing. Its always a good idea to pack extra dry clothes for the way home.

From North Jersey:From Rt. 80: Take Exit #19 (Rt. 517): Go south toward Hackettstown approximately 5 miles. At the traffic light in downtown Hackettstown make a right onto Rt. 46 West (Main St.). Go approximately 9 miles to hatchery entrance on eastbound side.

From Rt. 78: Take Exit #17 (Rt. 31): Take Rt. 31 North approximately 17 miles to its end at Rt. 46. Make a right onto Rt. 46 East. Hatchery entrance is approximately 2.5 miles.

From South Jersey:From Garden State Parkway: Take GSP North to Exit #127 immediately after the Driscoll Bridge over the Raritan River. Follow signs for Rt. 440/I-287 North. Take Rt. 287 North to exit #21B onto Rt. I-78 West. Follow Rt. 78 directions above.

From NJ Turnpike/I-295:Take the NJ TPK North to crossover to I-295 North. Take I-295 North around Trenton to I-95 South. Take Exit #4 onto Rt. 31 North. Continue on Rt. 31 North approximately 43 miles to Rt. 46. Make a right onto Rt. 46 East. Hatchery entrance is approximately 2.5 miles.

A NOTE ABOUT NON-SERVICE DOGS

We love our non-service dogs as most of you love yours, but for the safety of all of our participants and volunteers, we ask that you refrain from bringing your non-service dogs to our event.
