V2: Creation Myth

Earlie Bird Productions (EBP) is a Philadelphia-based production company rooted in the belief that everyone has a story to tell and that every story has the potential to affect change.Our productions are collaborative in nature giving voice and venue to writers, visual artists, moves, makers, and shakers.Our audience is impassioned, intrepid, and eager to support storytelling that entertains, inspires, and gives back.

Earlie Bird Productions

Eager to bring people together in a world gone mad following the 2016 presidential election, a group of women mounted a production of Eve Ensler’s The Vagina Monologues in the Queen Village neighborhood of Philadelphia. The non-professional production raised nearly $2,000 for Planned Parenthood.
In the months following the production, the women (and a man) reconvened to conduct interviews and create a series of new monologues inspired by the original. These monologues, called V2: Creation Myth, explore what it is to be a woman in today's social and political climate and posit a new narrative for the future.
In the spirit of Ensler's V-Day Campaign to end violence against women and girls, proceeds from V2 will benefit <A HREF="https://www.plannedparenthood.org/planned-parenthood-southeastern-pennsylvania" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Planned Parenthood</A> and the <A HREF="http://www.wcrpphila.org/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Women's Community Revitalization Project</A>.
