October 6-8, 2024 marks UW-Green Bay's

24th Annual Parent and Family Weekend!  

On behalf of the entire university community, we welcome you to campus. We hope you have a great visit.  If you have any questions, please contact the Student Engagement Center at sec@uwgb.edu.

Tickets

Ticket sales will continue until September 25 , or until tickets are sold out.  Remember to grab a ticket for your UWGB student as well.

Ticket Pick Up

Check-in and ticket pick up is at the University Ticketing & Information Center (UTIC) in the University Union.  The UTIC will be ready for ticket pick up on Friday, October 6, from 3 pm to 8pm, and on Saturday, October 7 from 8am-5pm.

Hotels  (mention UWGB Parent & Family Weekend to get the rate). Our hotel room blocks expire on September 6-- be sure to make your reservations before then!

3:00 pm - 8:00 pm Check in at the UTIC

5:00 pm UW-Green Bay 2023 Alumni Legacy Toast - Kress Events Center Special Events Room (TICKET REQUIRED)

Those who are eligible will receive an invitation from Alumni Relations. This toast is for UWGB students following in the footsteps of their family members who graduated from UWGB. Students and their family members will celebrate their legacy with university leadership.

6:00 pm Phoenix Volleyball vs Wright State - Kress Event Center (Ticket purchased at event or ONLINE HERE)

UWGB Athletics welcomes you to the Kress Center for an exciting match with Wright State. UWGB students are free with their UWGB ID card.

9:00 am - 10 am Parent & Family Weekend Welcome to Campus Breakfast (TICKET REQUIRED)

Family Weekend participants are invited to breakfast with Chancellor Michael Alexander! The breakfast will be in the Cloud Commons of the University Union. Students are free; guests are $5.  The Chancellor’s Welcome Breakfast will include: cinnamon French toast, scrambled eggs, bacon, seasoned breakfast potatoes, muffins and bottled orange juice. Tickets will sell out fast!

10:00 am - 12:00 pm Play in Phoenix Park! (NO TICKET REQUIRED)

Hosted by Fraternity & Sorority Life - Our fraternity and sorority organizations will host your families for some fun in the park! Something for everyone--face painting, balloon animals, inflatables, caricatures, music, and an apple cider bar. Free, no ticket required, open to all!

10:00 am - 10:00 pm ESports Lounge Open for all - ESports Lounge-University Union (NO TICKET REQUIRED)

Get your game on! Drop in the ESports Lounge in the Phoenix Club in the University Union and check out what you can play together. There are limited devices so use will be dependent on availability.

Come create some artwork of your very own, or enjoy some quiet time to do some coloring. This event is by the stairs across from Phoenix Room C in the University Union. While supplies last! Open to ALL Ages! No ticket needed.

Get your FREE tickets in advance using this web site. Tickets will be in your check-in packet. Get aboard your wagon on the Mary Ann Cofrin Hall Circle just outside the Union. Each ride is approximately 20 minutes long.

1:00-3:00pm Button Making in the Community Center (NO TICKET REQUIRED)

Join Housing and Residential Education in making buttons in the Community Center. Open to non-residential students and guests, too.

1:30 pm, 4:00 pm, 6:30 pm Free Movie: Coco - Christie Theatre - University Union (NO TICKET REQUIRED)

Get your FREE tickets using this website. Tickets will be in your check-in packet. The 6:30 pm movie will also include crafting and snacks. Don't forget your refreshments that you can get from the Phoenix Club!

2:00-4:00pm Tailgate & Bags Tournament before the Volleyball Match! (TICKET REQUIRED - WALK-INS WELCOME)

Hosted by Athletics and University Recreation in the Kress Center West Gym. Purchase your ticket using this website that will include your admission to the volleyball game at 4:00 pm and the tailgate meal.

To participate in the Bags Tournament during the tailgate, reserve a pair of free tickets using this website. Bags Tournament will be limited to 32 teams.

2:00-4:00pm Lambeau Field Tour/Hall of Fame Tour/Combo Tour (EXTERNAL TICKET REQUIRED)

Costs range from $12 to $25. It's the only true retro-looking stadium in the entire league. The Lambeau Field Atrium is home to the Packers Pro Shop, the Packers Hall of Fame,1919 Kitchen & Tap, and more.

Transportation to Lambeau is on your own.

The Lambeau Field tours involve about 1/2 mile of walking and takes about one hour to complete.

4:00 pm Phoenix Volleyball vs Northern Kentucky- Kress Event Center (TICKET REQUIRED - WALK-INS WELCOME)

UWGB Athletics welcomes you to the Kress Center for an exciting match with Youngstown State. If you purchased tailgate tickets through this website, your admission to the volleyball game will be included. If you did not purchase tailgate tickets, adult ticket/general admission ticket prices will be $5 (from the Kress Events Center box office) when accompanied by a UWGB student. (UWGB students are free with their UWGB ID card).

6:00 - 8:00pm Paint and Sip Join instructor LaTosha Greenleaf from the Urban Cultural Arts Center for a step by step Painting Class in the Phoenix Club starting at 6pm. Snacks and beverages available for purchase at the Phoenix Club. (TICKET REQUIRED)

8:00 pm - 9:00 pm Bingo! Phoenix Rooms-University Union (TICKET REQUIRED)

Friday and Saturday: Midwest Viking Festival - UW-Green Bay Viking House grounds

Explore Scandinavian history and the daily life of the region more than a 1,000 years ago! It's a free community event that celebrates the craft traditions, food, stories, and many other aspects of medieval Scandinavia (Denmark, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden). All Weekend: Phoenix Club Family Pack - Phoenix Club-University Union

$7 for two hours of game time (pool, ping pong, shuffleboard), a large pizza, and four cans of soda. May be purchased day of in the Phoenix Club.

Kress Events Center Open For Families
