The Business of Sports: At This Stage in the Game

All alumni, parents, and friends are invited to join us for The Business of Sports: At This Stage in the Game, an exciting discussion with UVA alumni Jonathan Becher (ENGR '86), President of the San Jose Sharks, and Jake Burns (ENGR '01, DAR '07), the Executive Vice President, Business Operations for the Washington Nationals! The conversation will be moderated by Gabrielle Adams, Assistant Professor of Public Policy and Psychology, Director of Executive Education at the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy, who teaches a UVA January Term class, "Leadership in Athletics."

The panel will discuss the business side of sports, the operational challenges from COVID-19, and the future outlook of major sports leagues in the United States.
