UVA Club of San Diego : Cavalier Student Send-off

Alumni, parents, and friends from the UVA Club of San Diego are excited to welcome new UVA students and families at a Cavalier Student Send-off! This event is an exciting opportunity for new students and families to connect with Hoos before the fall semester begins.

Come share in the excitement as new and current San Diego UVA students, their families, and our Wahoo community gather for a Southern-style backyard barbeque. We’ll serve up smoked pulled pork, coleslaw, BBQ beans, bean salad, chips, and watermelon.

For the new students and their parents, it’s a chance to meet and connect. For current students and parents who have most recently “been there, done that,” it’s a chance to pass on tips about easing the West to East Coast transition.

And for San Diego Wahoos it’s a chance to socialize and applaud our county’s best and brightest students. We’ll cap off the event with group photos and our best a cappella rendition of the “Good Old Song.” Dress is California casual—plenty of street parking. Masks optional. Come out, enjoy some BBQ, and celebrate the richness and diversity of our San Diego/UVA community. Masks are optional.
