About this event

It’s Texas Mushroom Conference weekend and we are ready to sprinkle spores on everyone. We are partnering up with Austin Beerworks at their new location at Sprinkle Valley. Come explore the diverse, nocturnal ecosystem of new 64 acre property with UV flashlights and cameras to look for mushrooms, night pollinators, birds, glowing plants, lichens and more. Learn how fungi is entangled in the forest helping plants gain water and nutrients, creating the pigments that give flowers their beautiful colors, to helping plants communicate with pollinators. Guests will learn how to look for, photograph and be community scientists in adding fluorescing organisms to the iNaturalist project

Bring your friends! New members will get a beer courtesy of ABW and members get a discount on ABW and Central Texas Mycology merch.

Family and pet friendly, come early for disc golf, happy hour, food and more. Walk will start at sunset / mushroom magic hour and then we can will look for glowing organisms until 10ish. Get creative with glowing outfits, face paint and don’t forget your camera and tripod.

We will also have mushroom blocks for everyone to take home.
