<H2 CLASS="MsoNormal">Having valuable information live in spreadsheets is common for many nonprofits. Do you ever look at this data and think "I know there is a better way to do this" or "Wouldn't it be helpful if I could calculate -insert brilliant idea-?"</H2>
This presentation will help you learn new spreadsheet skills to improve your data tracking, increase your productivity, and strengthen your ability to report valuable information to key stakeholders (funders, your board, committees, donors, policymakers, etc.). We'll highlight handy tips and tricks, discuss a holistic view to creating scalable workbooks (spreadsheets that are flexible toward incorporating more data), and review examples of using data to tell your organization's story.
By the end of this session, you will be able to:

Use "advanced" formulas (e.g. SUMIF, INDEX-MATCH, X-LOOKUP, etc.) in Excel or Google Sheets
</LI>
<LI CLASS="MsoNormal">
Leverage Excel's features (e.g. pivot tables, named ranges, recording macros) to help you be more efficient
</LI>
<LI CLASS="MsoNormal">
Improve your data visualization skills to tell the story to stakeholders
</LI>
</UL>
This session is designed for individuals who have a basic understanding of spreadsheet tools (Excel, Google Sheets, etc.) and are looking to advance their abilities. If there are specific topics you'd like help with, please provide that information in your registration so we can ensure this training can be tailored to your needs.
<H2>Meet the Presenter</H2>
Olivia Brey is passionate about the power of data and the freedom that a range of spreadsheet skills affords – on an individual level to company-wide knowledge. She first learned Excel and VBA while getting her civil engineering degree from Colorado State University. She worked with the consultant firm Atkins for nearly five years advising state and local governments on emerging transportation technology, then moved to Seattle to work for Luum – a commute benefit management platform – as a data analytics lead. Olivia is now leveraging her analytical skills to support nonprofits.
