HISTORY:

In 2019, agents and officers from the United States Secret Service and Federal Bureau of Investigation came together at USA Lacrosse headquarters in Sparks, MD to play in the inaugural lacrosse game between members of these two historic law enforcement agencies. The event enhanced the long-standing partnership between the agencies while raising funds for law enforcement charities. Members of the USSS and FBI established a relationship with Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.), a charity solely dedicated to providing resources to families, co-workers and survivors of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty. Each year 140-160 officers are killed in the line of duty with family members and co-workers left behind. C.O.P.S. provides essential resources to help rebuild their shattered lives.

Since it’s inception, the USSS and FBI charity lacrosse games have successfully raised almost $40,000 for C.O.P.S. These funds have been allocated towards multiple scholarships and towards the travel costs associated with widows/widowers attending the candlelight vigil where their fallen officer is honored and recognized for their duty.
