Using the Large-Format Dry-Mount Press
Learn how to flatten and mount your artwork at Artisans Asylum!
Class Description
If you don’t know the Design and Photography Shop has one of the best dry mount presses available, it's extra large, you can do 32 x 40 easily with this press! Jess Holz just mounted all her artworks for her opening at Harvard!
What might you use a press for? Flattening artwork like watercolors and collage; dry mounting photographs or other artwork to foam core or matte board; and many other things that we haven't figured out yet!
Now is your chance to learn the dry mount press in the Design & Photo Shop. Feel free to stop by even if you don't know what a dry mount press can do.
The materials fee for this class is $10. This is separate from the ticket price and is to reimburse the instructor for any tools or materials used in this class. This will be paid once, directly to the instructor at the start of the first class meeting. This instructor accepts cash aor Venmo.

Learning Objectives

Instructor - Bill Morse @morse.editions
Bill has been a photographer and printmaker for 30 years. He has 20 years experience teaching Photoshop and printmaking, as well as providing computer consulting.
For him, every day at A2 includes multiple, deep interactions with other members involving them teaching him something, or vice versa, or just learning about another neat idea or project.
Target Audience
Students with 2 prints ~11x14 to mount. Students must be 16 years or older. If under 18, students must be accompanied by an adult.
Your Ticket Includes
- Foam core and all mounting supplies
- Access to A2's Digital Design & Photography Shop and tools for the duration of the session.
- Tool testing on the Dry Mount Press
