USAGSO STEMinists: Adventures in STEM with Everyday Superheroes
USA Girl Scouts Overseas is excited to continue its STEMinist series with virtual programming and in-person events in 2025-2026. This series provides hands-on, enriching, and age-appropriate STEM activities for Girl Scouts all over the world!
Each session is led by an Everyday Superhero -- a woman working in science, technology, engineering or math (STEM). Our Everyday Superheroes share their story and actually do STEM with Girl Scouts! Girl Scouts make connections to real world problems and solutions.
All sessions are strategically aligned to STEM badges and Journeys. All Girl Scouts who participate earn the STEMinist fun patch. Girl Scouts Overseas may attend independently or as a group by signing up for a program pass. Want to bulk register your Troop or Overseas Committee (10 or more girls) and get free giveaways? Use this form!
New in 2025-2026
We are excited to provide STEMinist Book Club reccomendations this year! Each monthly session will be paired with a STEM book or two to compliment the topic. Want to read along with us all year long? Be sure to snag your program pass!
Program Pass Details
- Sessions are held LIVE via Zoom one Saturday each month at 8 am EDT / 2pm CEST / 9pm or 10pm JST, beginning in September 2025. See below for the full list of session dates and times. Please be sure to check what time that is in your specific corner of the world. Can't attend live or registering after the series kickoff in September? No worries! All sessions are recorded for participation on Girl Scout's own time.
- A list of supplies needed for the activity will be sent about 1-week prior to each session to the email address provided during registration. Materials needed are all items you can easily find in your home or local store.
- These events are open to all program grade levels (Girl Scout Daisies through Ambassadors) and adult volunteers. We recommend that younger Girl Scouts have a helpful adult nearby to assist with experiments as needed.
- A confirmation email with Zoom meeting details will be sent 2-3 days prior to each event to the email address provided during registration.
- This 2025 - 2026 Program Pass costs $30.00 per girl for 9 virtual program sessions. Program pass holders received a significant discount on in-person STEMinist programs. Adults may attend at no cost with their Girl Scout(s). The cost of the program pass includes the STEMinist patch and shipping.
Want to bulk register 10 or more girls? Use this form instead!

STEMinist Highlights since we launched
Since launching almost four-years ago, we have reached over 500 Girl Scouts from Guadalajara to Guangzhou and all points in-between. Here is what some participants had to say about their experience:
"I love that we get to meet a new STEM superhero every time. I love the diversity in the topics. In addition, I love that we can create our own things with the help of professionals. I especially love that all these STEM superheroes are women."
~ STEMinist Participant in France
"I love this program and would highly recommend it to all Girl Scouts. You have done amazing with the different Superheroes that you have brought to them for them to learn and it is incredible!"
~ Parent of a STEMinist Participant in the United States
"This program is awesome!! It literally has been one the highlights of the year. The presenters are such a diverse, interesting bunch who manage to put their amazing experiences on a level the girls can understand and relate to. The activities are all both educational and a ton of fun... I normally watch with my daughter and I think I enjoy them as much as she does. Great job!"
~ Parent of a STEMinist Participant in Panama
" The activities have been excellent and she talks about them with friends and family."
