Interactive virtual workshop designed to develop & refine submissions to the Reimagining Pathways to Employment in the US Challenge

<h2>What is a Solveathon?</h2>Solveathon workshops are highly interactive design workshops aimed at developing and improving great solutions to the <a href="https://solve.mit.edu/challenges/ReimaginingPathways" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Reimagining Pathways to Employment in the US Challenge</a>. You will meet new people, work on big ideas, and be part of a national community. This event will be led by MIT Solve staff and trained facilitators to focus on generating and refining ideas through the design thinking process.MIT Solve is running 4 regional Solveathons from September-October 2020. The Reimagining Pathways to Employment in the US Challenge seeks the most promising solutions that accelerate pathways to current and future employment across the US. Challenge winners will have access to a $625,000 prize pool. These grants will fund the development of validation pilots with <a href="https://solve.mit.edu/articles/america-s-best-kept-future-of-work-secret" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">innovative US Workforce Boards</a> for the benefit of an anticipated 1 million displaced workers. New Profit&#x27;s investment strategy focuses on building a breakthrough portfolio to take on entrenched systemic challenges in America, particularly by driving resources and support to Black, Indigenous, and Latino/a/x social entrepreneurs who have unique proximity to solutions, but face stark racial funding disparities in philanthropy; investing in social entrepreneurs with new systems change models across a range of issues; and creating jobs and opportunity by funding Future of Work innovation.
