Have you been affected by the collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge?
CareFirst is working with local government, non-profit and business partners to support those impacted by the tragic collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge.
Within days of the collapse, Baltimore City Mayor Brandon Scott and Maryland Governor Wes Moore contacted CareFirst to ask about using ground-floor office space to allow the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) to quickly set up a loan processing center close to the Key Bridge.
The CareFirst Engagement Center (CEC) at our Canton headquarters was immediately identified to meet this need. The SBA is currently open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to help small business owners with processing their loans. These loans can be used to pay a business’s operating expenses, such as fixed debts, payroll, accounts payable and other bills that can’t be paid because of the disruption.
