U.S. Rehab Tech Training

U.S. Rehab’s Tech Training is a one-stop shop that helps your technicians meet CMS DMEPOS Quality Standards. These sessions provide valuable training and hands-on practice with a variety of manufacturer equipment, including Permobil, Sunrise, Merits/Avid, Ki Mobility, Motion Concepts, and MK Battery. Two tailored education tracks are available to best accommodate each of your technician’s current experience in the industry:

BASIC is best suited for technicians with up to 2 years of rehab industry technician experience.

ADVANCED is best suited for technicians with more than 2+ years of rehab industry technician experience.

Class size is limited to ensure one-on-one intensive training.

Learning Objectives

1. Identify the tools that a wheelchair technician needs to rapidly correctly diagnose and perform repairs on manual and power wheelchairs.

2. Explain the operation of the major electrical components used in wheelchair controllers.

3. Demonstrate the procedures necessary to trouble shoot electrical issues with wheelchair electronics.

4. Select and inspect batteries for the DME industry.

5. Learn how to properly document the repair to maximize reimbursement

Education Credit

1.6 CEUs

To Receive Education Credit, Attendees Must:

1) Sign/Check in before the sessions begins

2) Be present for at least 90% of the session

3) Complete an evaluation at the conclusion of the session
