UROC Critical Conversation: Accompaniment of Migrant Communities During Contentious Times: The Roles of Researchers, Practitioners, and Citizens.
As the second term of the Trump Administration begins, federal officials have pursued mass deportations, eliminating asylum, attempting to redefine birthright citizenship, and further eradicating protections of ancestral lands. As many lives will be impacted, what are the critical roles that are most needed to stand with migrant and indigenous communities?
This Critical Conversation will convene a panel that will discuss the legal, social, and economic challenges that migrant and indigenous communities will confront and provide practical ways to offer mutual support and advocacy.
