Upland Guzzler Build - June 15th

N. Nevada Guzzler Build

The Chukar Chasers Foundation is leading the charge along side with NDOW to rebuild an upland-specific guzzler. The guzzler build will be on Saturday, June 15, 2024.

This is a volunteer opportunity to get outside and explore Nevada.

When: Saturday, June 15, 2024, at 8 a.m. (anticipated 2p.m.-ish finish).

Where: Outside of Fernely, Exit 65 (Nightingale Hot Springs) (exact location will be emailed); guzzler location to be approx. 2hrs from Reno (meeting point: Exit 65, 50mins from Reno); guzzler location approx. 50-70mins).

Meals: Light breakfast and late lunch will be provided, as well as water.

Transportation: Trucks and side-by-sides preferred; carpool opportunities available via email request.

Additional Details:

• Once signed up, an email with add'l details will be provided.
• Pavement while on I-80, and then predominantly on dirt road to guzzler.
• Please bring gloves and power tools, if you have them (additional materials and tools will be provided by the NDOW and CCF).
• Please Note: If there are any youth volunteers (younger than 18yrs old), all youth must be accompanied by an adult and/or guardian. It is suggested that all volunteers bring proper footwear, sunscreen, water, and appropriate clothing.
