Updating/Constructing Your SyllabusWith Michael DinwiddieIt is time to teach that course again. Whether it’s one that you love or one that hasn’t been such a great experience, your syllabus that will cover the necessary material and critically guide your students. Maybe a few years have gone by, and you need a new approach. Or the area of study has been expanded and your syllabus must incorporate additional topics. How do you update your tried-and-true methods? What assignments might you think about adding (or modifying)? And how do you accommodate different learning modes? What are some effective guidelines for “pacing” the semester? These are some of the questions that this workshop will explore. (Kindly note: Participants are invited to share a syllabus that they plan to teach.)
