Upcycle Parts Shop is the leader in sustainable art and craft supplies in Cleveland.We are a non-profit dedicated to provoking creativity and promoting community through reuse.We operate a unique storefront where people can donate used art + craft supplies, as well as shop for the same items at a very low cost. We serve thousands of participants each year by supplying materials to creative endeavors through this retail shop, leading engaging programming, and building community in Cleveland's St. Clair community that we call home.We shine a light on the potential of everything around us. To us, upcycling and “creative reuse” is about believing in the value of materials already in our hands and homes, and the joy of sparking thoughtful creativity within our community and the self.Together, we have diverted over 27 tons of waste from the landfill since opening in 2014 and we are grateful to our community of donors and patrons for helping us createless waste & more art!

Upcycle Parts Shop

In the spirit of Halloween, we’re hosting a special Mini Makers workshop where we’ll upcycle some costume-y, wearable creations! 
Kids and their grown-ups will work together to create hats, headdresses, masks, or other zany costume props using our buffet of upcycle pieces and parts. Bring them home to add to your dress up bin, or even wear your creation as part of your trick-or-treating ensemble! We’ll be armed with some silly hat and prop prompts if your little one needs a little inspiration, and you can collaborate on some personal designs, too. 
What else can you expect at our costume bash? Donut holes! Apple Cider! A little environmental education, and a lot of unconventional creative fun! We can't wait to prep for Halloween with you. See you on the 26th!
 
Each adult may bring up to three children and should purchase the corresponding ticket type. Children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the workshop. Recommended for ages 3 and up.

This is my first time hearing about Upcycle Parts Shop. What's the deal?
We are non-profit  a creative reuse center located in the St. Clair-Superior neighborhood of Cleveland. In our retail storefront we sell low-cost craft supplies and upcycleable treasures, all generously donated to us by individuals and corporations in our community. Since opening in 2014, we have diverted over 26 tons of usable material from the landfill! Whether or not you can make our workshop, we'd love to see you in our shop during our weekly retail hours. We are open to the public on Thursdays and Fridays from 2-6 PM and Saturdays from 10-4 PM. What can I expect when I arrive?
Come through our shop door located under the blue awning. We'll then head upstairs to our workshop space. There will also be time to visit our shop if you'd like to purchase any creative materials and upcycle parts. You'll receive 10% off any in-shop purchases as a thank you for attending!
What refreshments can I expect?
We will have donut holes and apple cider and juice for the kiddos. Please feel free to bring your own snacks, too! We have plates, utensils, and glasses so no need to bring those.
Where should I park?
There is street parking available in front of our shop on St. Clair Avenue as well as on Addison. You may also park in the Slovenian National Home parking lot behind the building which is accessible from Addison or E. 64th.
