About this event
Join local elected officials, regulatory agency staff, and industry leaders to discuss the future of Montana's energy production. The event will explore topics like natural resource development concepts, current energy projects underway, and public-private partnerships driving the next generation of energy development.
The Conference will take place at the Copper King in Butte, Montana on October 26th. A welcome reception will be held on the evening of the 26th, with more details to follow. A ticket to the event includes access to the Welcome Reception, conference sessions, and a continental breakfast and lunch on the 27th.
Speakers will include Energy Bureau Chief Ben Brouwer of the Montana Department of Environmental Quality, Senator Daniel Zolnikov of Montana’s Seate District 22, Business Division Administrator Liane Taylor of the Montana Department of Commerce, and more.
Attendees will be treated to a keynote address from Dr. Glen R. Murrell of the Idaho National Lab. In 2022, the Idaho National Lab and the State of Wyoming signed a Memorandum of Understanding agreeing to collaborate on developing capacity, insight and technology applications for advanced nuclear energy in Wyoming. Dr. Murrell is also the former executive director of the Wyoming Energy Authority and will expand on how Montana can benefit from the same actions that Wyoming is undertaking.
