Frequently asked questions

Should I eat before the class?

We personally don't love to drink on an empty stomach, but up to you! If hungry, you'll will have the opportunity to order food from Lone Owl before, during and/or after the class -- and you'll even get a friends & family discount! Just be sure to mention you're part of the class when ordering.

What if I don't/can't drink alcohol?

No problem! We'll provide genuinely creative and elevated non-alcoholic options so that you can fully participate, and you'll learn about how to easily incorporate non-alcoholic options into your cocktail making :)

Yikes! What if we're running late?

The first portion of the class is an intro and getting acquainted. Depending on how late you are, you may not miss the first first! If you arrive after we begin the first drink, we'll get you caught up as best we can. Sorry, no refunds for late arrivals or missed classes.

Will we be sitting or standing during the class?

Whichever is most comfortable for you! If you prefer or need to sit, there is plenty of seating available, and all actions needed to fully participate can take place while remaining seated the entire time.

Do you accept walk ins?

We do! That said, availability & space is not guaranteed, so we would recommend purchasing a ticket to reserve a spot ahead of time.

Our mixology classes are a bit different than most. Instead of an over-the-top recipe you'll realistically never take the time to make at home, we'll teach you cocktail "styles" or "templates" that are straight-forward & easy to remember, and will give you the base knowledge to repeatedly craft your own cocktail variations that are simple yet taste balanced, complex and, most importantly, adjust to your own personal taste. Genuinely creative non-alcoholic options are always available!
