CKA: Positive Interactions & Guidance

Participants will learn the research behind challenging behaviors, and developmentally appropriate techniques to positive guidance. They will learn the keys factors of how an environment can affect behaviors and have the opportunity to brainstorm and reflect on techniques to support positive exchanges to improve challenging behaviors.

Training Objectives:

1 . By the end of the session, participants will discover reasons children have challenging behaviors and how to support them.

2 . By the end of the session, participants will evaluate how an environment can affect behaviors.

3 . By the end of the session, participants will identify how to guide children to increase positive exchanges and decrease challenging behavior.

Each professional development session offered by The Children’s Cabinet utilizes a knowledge check to ensure that our participants understand our training objectives and our instructors are providing a comprehensive learning experience. You can expect to receive a three question quiz or test at the end of each training. If you have questions or concerns, or need additional information about this process, feel free to contact the Professional Development Training Coordinator at 775-856-6200.
