The symposium is a dynamic and transformative event designed to inspire and empower professionals who work with Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) individuals. Hosted at Cerritos College - Conference Center, this symposium offers a unique blend of inspiring talks, interactive workshops, and invaluable networking opportunities.

Inspiring Keynote and Performances: Begin the day with a powerful keynote speech from a student speaker who will share their journey of overcoming challenges and achieving success. The opening session also includes a special performance that celebrates the diversity and talent within the DHH community.

Interactive Workshops: Engage in two comprehensive sessions of workshops tailored to various aspects of education and inclusivity. Choose from topics such as transitioning from high school to college, understanding disability rights in California, exploring the latest assistive technologies, and more. Each workshop is designed to provide practical knowledge and tools to enhance your professional practice.

Movement and Relaxation Activities: Midday activities include a variety of options to help you recharge. Whether you prefer a guided movement session, a quiet time for reflection, or an interactive sign language practice session, these activities are designed to refresh and energize you for the afternoon.

The Conference Center is located near the Kinesiology building and right behind the student center.

Yes! There is no charge to attend this event.

Yep! Delicious tacos by Magalystaquiza, a Deaf Taco vendor

Do I pay for parking?

No, we will provide parking passes for attendees upon arrival. Parking is in Lot 10 and is close to the conference center.

Will a professional development certificate be offered?

Yes, we will provide information at the symposium.

How can I support?

Donate money to a scholarship for DHH/ASL students to assist funding their education. Further information will be available at the symposium.
